How to: Pack Like a Pro

packing tips, packing checklist, pack like a pro

I am leaving town tomorrow for the RewardStyle conference in Dallas (yay!), & although I am getting stoked, I am simultaneously ripping-my-hair-out due to my sky high stress levels. I am already exhausted from all this travelling.

I had three friends a.k.a. my fashion panel come over to help me put together each & everyone of my outfits to the last detail. Truth: I pack with the help of a complete Excel spreadsheets to help keep record of every event/date/weather/outfit. It’s sick, I know.

What I thought would be helpful having my friends opinions ended up being more of a comedy hour on my couch. I must admit, my friends are pretty effing funny.

Popular phrases of the night included: “woofta” “ouchhhh” & “dead“. Somehow between the one word witty responses & the laughing-so-hard-we-are-crying moments, I got each outfit perfectly folded on my living room floor.

Since I am so OCD/off the walls bat shit cray when it comes to getting ready for a trip, I figured I would share some of my pro tips w/ all of you jet setting babes. The way I do it, you would never know I am actually no-pro & not much of a traveler. The stress + my homebody ways + hating airplanes, it’s a surprise I ever been out of the city, let alone the state, let alone the country. OUCH!

xx, E

  1. I can’t lie; I type a color coded list (because let’s face it, some things can be worn twice or with multiple ensembles) every time I go away. You’re not the only neurotic one.
By the way, I’m falling in love with that pair of shoes in the top left corner.

    1. Yes! Or else you over pack BIG TIMEEEE to scared you will miss out on something that you really end up wanting ;) There are always a few stragglers, but that’s expected.

  2. This list is going to take my compulsive packing to a whole new level! I’m excited to try it out for the first time on an upcoming roadtrip! Thanks!

  3. Fantastic ideas! I am going to follow your tips! I prefer wearing black clothes , too. It is easy to combine them. I love your boots! Best regards!
