Rich Girl/ Poor Girl: Givenchy Sheath Wedge Boots

Givenchy Sheath Boots

( drool-worthy leopard coat: similar, similar, similar )

I am not, and will never be, one of those bloggers that won’t spill secrets. Regardless what you blog about, the whole idea is to let people in on your life. So, if you’re not big on sharing, what’s the point in having a blog? I can tell you right now, there are plenty of bloggers out there who will claim “vintage” or “borrowed” just so that no one steals their style, & it bugs the shit out of me.

I can promise you this- that will never happen on this blog. I loveeee sharing secrets & letting all you lushes in on the latest & greatest. Which brings me to the secret I have been DYING to share for a few days now…

Givenchy Sheat Wedge Boots

Have you seen the to-die-for Givenchy Sheath Wedges, i.e. the “IT” Fall boot, popping up on street style blogs everywhere? When I first saw them, I literally had to drag my jaw up off the floor. Then I had to deal with the fact that I can in no way justify spending $1695 (without tax) on a pair of boots that I probably would only wear a handful of times. Doesn’t mean I still didn’t need them, I just had to find them for less…

… and that’s precisely what I did my dearies. Tell me that these here boots aren’t the exact same boot for literally a tenth of the price? Seriously? Dead. Bought. Done. I already have 900 outfits planned out perfectly in my head. Now I will just wait at the door like a kid on Christmas.

Rich girl/ poor girl… who gives an eff as long as you’re a smart girl!

xx, E

  1. I am literally wanting to give you the biggest hug ever! I saw these boots a while back and I feel in serious love with them, but like you there was no way I could drop almost $1700 on them. Thanks to your find, that is exactly like the Givenchy boots, I don’t have to lust after them anymore.

    1. Awwww! I will take that hug any day! Glad you are as stoked as I am about this find :) xx

  2. I’m not sure I love the boots personally, BUT I do love the sentiments behind the post. Congrats on your spectacular “poor girl” find. I’m really interested in seeing them styled in a full outfit.

  3. Seriously?!?! This is amazing, so jealous of your abilities to find the same boots for less!! Have been DYING to get my hands on a pair!! Love you hun!

    1. Check out the post!! I updated it to include links to similar style coats! It’s insanely cute.

  4. I bought these too! They’re gorgeous! I have one problem though. The boots are slouching and the sheath is slipping under the heel. Are yours doing this? Do you have any helpful suggestions?

    1. Hey Laura- mine were slouching just a little too much so I took them to the shoe repair guy and he is going to fix them for me. He said he could either make them tighter around the leg so they don’t fall or he can cut the sheath shorter so when they slouch they won’t hit the ground. I think I am going to have him make them tighter :)

      1. I was thinking that those were my two options also. When you get yours altered I’d love to see pics! Thanks for the reply.

        1. I will post a pic for sure or I will email it to you and let you know how it all worked out!

          1. Have you gotten these adjusted yet? Really wanting to see them so I can judge what to do about mine.

          2. they are at the shoe repair still! Took them a lonnnng time cause I wanted to try them on before they sewed them up to make sure I wanted them taken in. I tried on one and it looks GREAT!!!! Waiting for the other to be finished.

  5. Thank you for the great post! I just read it now and I’m about to buy the boots. I read the comments and saw that it was slouchy and was wondering if you can post a picture of the boots you got . It would be really helpful! Thank you

  6. You make my life. Ive been in panic mode trying to figure out how to make these little babies mine.

  7. Follow up question…

Did you have any problems ordering from the Choies website itself? I ordered my boots 9 days ago and paid for the express shipping and never got a confirmation email, still have yet to get my boots, and the company has no contact phone number. Just wondering if you had problems getting the boots..

    1. April- I am sorry to hear you are having issues :(, it did take a while to get the boots- but there was a confirmation email & they did come within two weeks. When you go to choies.com, there is a button on the top of the screen that says “live chat”- I would give that a go & see if you can get in touch with someone. Hope you get your boots soon!! xx, E

  8. I’m in love with the boots! Thanks a lot for the post! Amazing blog!

BDW are they real leather? as on the website it says leather…

    Thanks for the reply!

    1. Yes- real leather!! It’s Forever 21’s new collection where it’s all quality leather- they are amazing!!!!

      1. Thanks a lot for reply! So do u think it’s safe to buy from choies.com? Honestly I had bad experiences with chinese websites… but I think it’s worth to try! Thanks for sharing such info as for many of us it’s impossible to afford boots for €2000:/

        Cheers:)

        1. Yes! Totally safe :) I bought from them quite a few times & they are totally legit. :)

  9. I seen a lot of mixed reviews about CHOiES. I’m really hesitant because I don’t know if a lot of these customers are legit to begin with. Should I take my chances?

  10. Thank you so so much for sharing.. Just found your blogpost and I was looking for an affordable pair since 2 years (maybe longer!!) :D So happy right now! Much love from Germany
