When it comes to the world of music, I am always 10 steps behind.

I am a podcast listener, & when I am all caught up on my podcast’s, I revert to the same playlist I have been listening to for a year straight. Just to give you a little taste of my outdatedness, a few of the songs that I play like a broken record include: “Bad Blood” by T.Swift, “What Do You Mean?” by the Biebs, & a realllll throwback- “Shoop” by Salt-N-Pepa (my karaoke song!).

SO yes, as you can clearly see, I am very unhip.

If it wasn’t for one of my cool friends who tries to keep me in the loop, I probably would have never known about Lemonade. It’s been the talk of the town for a hot minute now, & although I am a HUGE Beyonce enthusiast, I of course had no freaking clue.

I was weary at first… not sure how long I could stay engaged in an hour long music video, but Zack & I settled in & made watching it our big Saturday night plans. Raging, per usual.

I am gonna get real weird here, but it’s safe to say that hour was the most magical & life-changing thing I have seen in a while, if not ever.

I was sitting on the edge of the couch eyes glued to the screen. If you know me, you know I multi-task & always work while watching T.V. Not in this case, there could be no distractions. Zack was not even allowed to speak (which ended up not a problem since he was pretty speechless the entire time- he LOVED it!).

I literally can’t put it into words how rad the whole thing was… you seriously travel through all of Beyonce’s emotions with her & it’s pretty damn epic. Not to mention, she is stunning & a total creative genius. RIGHT?!
