Vintage Finds

San Diego weather is seriously confusing. I was so thrilled last week when it started raining, because rainy days are my favorite (we don’t get a whole lot of them over here), but then my little rain bubble was quickly popped when the weather gods decided it was time for Summer.

It’s now 80+ degrees, the AC is pumping hard, & I am just not feeling it. The grass is always greener, I know this, but I really think I’d be v. happy living in a cooler climate w/ actual seasons. Is it still cold in other parts of the world right now? Comment below with where you live & what the weather is like so I can vicariously live through you guys.

Clearly this look was from last week, when it was gloriously overcast. Grateful that what looks like the last outfit of “Winter” is this rad vintage denim on denim situation.

I am always down for a good thrift hunt, & this jacket is one of my recent scores. So dope, right? I opted to rock it Canadian tuxedo style & topped it off with on one of my other fave thrift scores- a vintage Chanel belt (scored this baby wayyyy back in 2003!!!) to give the entire situation a little shape.

Unfortunately this little denim number has gotta go on the back burner till next Winter, because in this moment all I can wear is one of my many silk slip dresses. It’s about as close to being naked as you can get, without actually being naked. Ya feel? This will be the Summer of the slip dress for sure, but I will be patiently awaiting the next time I can pull out this denim trench because I realllly want to rock it as a dress w/ some thigh high boots. Fun, yes?

x, E

P.S. If you’re in San Diego & looking for an uber cool thrift store, check out Pack Ratt Records/ Puss N’ Boots vintage. They have so much insanely cool stuff like authentic vintage rock tee’s, worn in Levi’s, & ton of cool little trinkets. Also, it’s where this jacket came from!

    1. App downloaded. :)

I take a lot of pictures under the many bridges in portland and in the industrial area as they often have overpasses that I can stand under. It definitely forces me to be a bit more creative.
