Dark & Moody Winter Florals

Oh hey guys- how goes it?

Personally, I am still recovering emotionally from the fact Ruby literally consumed half of my gorgeous chunky blanket that I coveted for an entire year (it was a massive splurge for me!) & only owned 3 days.

**get a puppy they said… it’d be fun they said**

UGH. Let’s just say- if you plan to get a puppy, plan to not buy nice things for… as long as it takes for your puppy to stop destroying things. Ruby loves to pee on my shag rugs, pull roses out of all my vases (this breaking vases), & takes our her seperation anxiety on the legs of my barstools. Oh, & now she eats blankets.

She does ring a bell when she has to pee, so there’s that.

ANYWAYS, enough about the monster that is Ruby Tuesday (whom I love dearly, but am still mad at/giving the cold shoulder too)… onto romance. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner & it’s also me and Zacky’s anniversary (or is it Zacky & Me? Do tell… I can never get that one right!).

I think I am subconsciously more into Valentine’s Day this year than I have been in a while- I have been loving lots of moody winter florals lately. Nothing frilly, pink, or too girly- I am talking dark… almost gothic… kinda florals.

I was originally envisioning rocking this cutie floral wrap dress w/ a white t-shirt underneath + some crisp white sneaks + a denim jacket, but it was just too damn cold… so I opted to layer it over my go-to black turtleneck (softest ever) + new fave flared jeans.

Once the weather clears up again, I will def. be getting more use out of this dress… because the best thing about these winter florals is they can be worn right into Spring with just a few dressed down styling tweaks.
