BECAUSE IT’S ALMOST MOTHER’S DAY & we all know I am obsessed w/ MY MOM… I’d figured I’d share 10 things I love about Linda. This past year you guys have gotten to know Linda better through my Instagram & I have LOVED sharing her with all of you.
The sweet comments you send to Linda mean the world to BOTH OF US. She always calls her friends & reads off your guys’ comments which is actually the cutest thing ever. There is much more amazing stuff to come for me & Linda in the future & we are both so excited to have her on this journey with me as my best friend, Momager, assistant, life coach, etc.
Mom, if you’re reading this, I LOVE WAY MORE THAN 10 THINGS ABOUT YOU, but ain’t nobody got time to read a novel… so here ya go!
1. I love that she is 100% Libra!!! No matter what, she always tries to see the both sides of a situation. If I come to her w/ a problem & the other person is CLEARLY in the wrong, she still tries to put herself in the other person’s shoes.
2. I love that she is down for ANYTHING at ANYTIME. Wanna go to LA tomorrow? Yup. Wanna go to a Bud n’ Breakfast? Yup. Wanna come over & order in Postmates/watch creepy TV? Yup. Wanna go get lobster in Mexico this weekend? Yupppppp. LITERALLY, ask her on any adventure & she will be in THE car & on her way. I inspired to be as spontaneous as Linda!
3. She is the.most.selfless.mom.EVER. She never says no to me or my sister when we need her for something. SHIT, she spent two hours at the courthouse for me the other day (long story) because it was closer to her & she didn’t want it to impede on my workday. She always drives us to/from the airport when we’re going on vacation (even if it’s LAX & our flight is at 3am!) cause she knows I hate flying & wants to calm my nerves, she offers to come organize my closet when I am feeling stressed/have no time, she drives down to see me almost weekly (& it’s a trek)… basically, when it comes to her kids, the woman will do ANYTHING.
4. SHE IS THE COZIEST HUMAN. Is that weird? Does everyone feel there Mom is cozy? It’s not exactly her that’s cozy, but just her presence. You know that feeling when you’re just SO comfortable at Mom’s house? That’s what I mean… I sleep over at her house all the time & it is like my cozy haven. She cooks me dinner, rolls a joint (lol), puts on a show, brings out all of her sheet masks, snuggles up on the couch, & then she LITERALLY tucks me into the most comfortable bed ever she has for whoever wants to come get cozy at her place.
5. She has always had that hustle spirit!! Growing up she was a fucking SUPERSTAR- the best sales woman you’ve ever met & a total boss in the world of real estate. Even now being retired she is building a house in Mexico & partnering with me on a big secret exciting project. She can’t stop moving & doing, which I very much love about her.
6. She is the most awesome Grandma ever. My newphew turns 1 THIS MONTH & seeing my Mom become a Grandma this year has been amazing. She is honestly the dream Grandma & my nephew is OBSESSED with her. It’s just the sweetest thing in the world.
7. She is HILARIOUS… but you guys know this. You may not know though- she used to do stand up comedy. Growing up with my Mom was ALWAYS so fun & we were always laughing! I love being a room with tons of people & watch her just captivate the entire room & have everyone in stitches within minutes. Also, really love how much you guys LOVE HER & her humor. It makes me so happy.
8. UM- she loves shoes, fashion, & bargain deals- JUST LIKE ME. One of my Mom & I’s favorite things to do together is SHOP…. at TJ MAXX. Again, you know this. Linda is the queen of TJ. But really, we both love the thrill of finding something great for a great price & we both LOVE clothes. I would shop her closet allll the time in highschool, & still do every time I come over. Her shoe collection is so good.
9. She is VERY self-sufficient & independant. Two traits I also didn’t really inherit considering I need Zack to hold my hand through the grocery store *LOL*. She figures shit out & gets it done, she goes to movies by herself, she went to Mexico for 10 days solo, & I am pretty sure (if my memory is correct) she went on a cruise solo cause her friend bailed. INDEPENDANT WOMAN.
10. She is my home base! My family jokes I won’t let my mom cut the umbilical cord just yet because I really do LOVE being with her above everyone else (sorry friends). I have talked about my anxiety issues before, & although I’ve got tips to manage on my own, the ONLY thing that really eases my nerves when I am feeling a wreck is my Mom. She always knows exactly the right thing to say & immediately I am all good.
& if that wasn’t sappy enough for ya… I even put together a video montage of us being really cute (& by us I mean her… obviously!).
