Checkmate

Typically my style is very California casual, but every once in a while there comes a time where ripped knee skinnies, a worn in Harley tee, & leopard pony hair booties just ain’t gonna cut it.

Which is why I always recommend that every girl own at least two pairs of jeans w/o holes (black & dark blue), minimalistic black heels, & a handful of sleek blazers. You can still pair these staples with your “day to day” digs (love rocking blazers over my vintage tees!), but they are also a real saving grace when you’re in a cinch & need to channel your inner “young profesh”.

Cause trust me when I tell you, there is no bigger fail than showing up to an important meeting/lunch/appointment under OR overdressed. This look, in my opinion, is pretty foolproof.

  1. I love blazers! I’m such a ’90s girl and blazers will forever be my favorite staple for anything. I took one to Vegas and it worked perfectly, but I’ll wear one to Sunday brunch and have it look nice. Loving yours and everything else you chose.
