I really debated what to call this blog post. If you didn’t already know, ‘…but I’m a Nineties Bitch’ is a lyric from Icona Pop’s hit, I LOVE IT.
I first heard this song on Girls (the episode where Hannah decides to dip into the nose candy), and I kinda loved the catchy tune. Until the radio did what it always does, over plays the shit out of a song until your ears bleed. For that very reason, I have been strictly sticking to my Spotify playlists while in the car. I needed a breather.
Yesterday, while driving, my phone died on me. Driving in silence is miserable, so I decided to get back together with my radio. Guess what was playing? I LOVE IT. Wowwwww, go figure. I was about to change the station to my go-to country, when I decided to give it another chance.
Then came the lyric… “your from the seventies, but I’m a nineties bitch”. Even though this song drives me bat shit crazy, I still like that one line. I’m all about that nineties vibe.
