Designer DIY: Padlock Pumps Inspired by Tom Ford

Turn off your content blocker guys, cause you’re about to lay your pretty lil’ eyes on some serious #SHOEPORN.

Clothes are great… I love clothes (derrr!), but nothing can make an outfit fall apart quicker than a bad pair of shoes. If you’ve got your shoe game on point, all is right in the world.

Shoes are my drug, and I am hooked. Can’t ya tell?

Which brings me to my latest designer DIY…

cue Jay-Z’s Tom Ford

The Tom Ford Padlock Pumps, have you heard of them? Considering they are pretty much the “IT” shoe in Hollywood right now, I’m gonna go with yes.

Typically I don’t do labels, only because I change my mind way too quickly to justify spending that type of dough on something I will most likely be over & done with in a months time tops.

Which is actually the reason behind why I started DIY-ing in the first place. Why would I spend a months worth of rent on something I could whip up myself? No brainer… esp. with these shoes.

Sorry Tommy boy, but you kinda had it coming with this one. You make great shoes at a price most people aren’t going to be able afford… someone is bound to find a way to recreate them. That person just happens to me.

Don’t worry guys, pretty sure Tom is doing just fine w/ Kim K. & J.Lo rocking them in every color.

If you make yourself a pair ( which you def. should ) I’d love to see them! Tag me on insta #FASHIONLUSHDIY.

Happy Humpday.

The Supplies:

» Pointy pumps w/ an ankle strap. I opted for white… cause white heels are kinda everything, but any color will work. Mine found here, more options at the end of the post ;).

» Two padlocks w/ keys

» DecoColor Gold paint pen. You have to use THIS exact paint pen. I have tried numerous gold paint pens, and this is the only one that has a real gold foil extra shiny look.

» Painters tape

» Step 1: Tape off your heels at about 1 1/2 inches & paint with your pen. Let dry & repeat till the tip of your heel is a bright gold.

» Step 2: Remove the ball chain from the padlock & attach the lock directly to the clasp of your shoe, attach the key to the lock, & close it up.

Simple, right?

Ahhh… love me some shoe porn, in bed.
