This & That: Fall, Lately

fashionlush, suzy kassem, inspirational quotes

You guys!!! Have I told you lately how awesome you are?

I got so many sweet comments on Friday’s post about staying sane in this blog eat blog world, & I was truly touched. You may not know it, but each comment I get on the blog puts a huge smile on the face. No joke, Zack always laughs at me cause he will look over at me on the computer & I will be grinning from ear to ear while reading your comments.

There is just no better feeling than knowing that the words I have said inspired others in someway.

So yea, big thanks to all of you. You rock!!!

As for the above quote, I guess it’s kind of an extension of that very post. Doubting yourself is only going to hold you back from following your dreams & succeeding… so stop that nonsense & start believing in how awesome you are, K?

As for my weekend, talk about relaxation at it’s finest! Last week I had family in town so it was go-go-go everyday, which was fun, but exhausting. This weekend I just wanted to stop-stop-stop, & that’s exactly what we did. We chilled, ate good food (seen above), took long walks, snuggled w/ Bitzy, slept in late, tinkered in the garden, & a ton of other old people type things.

It was just what the doctor ordered…

… until I went to the actual doctor today & she ordered up something a lil’ less fun. I guess I am showing early signs of carpal tunnel due to too much typing (#bloglife), so it looks like my new arm party is now gonna be a really attractive wrist brace. Total Monday buzzkill, right?

Any future typos, blame the wrist brace & if you have any tips/stretches/supplements to help with carpal tunnel, LMK!

  1. So. It might not help the carpal tunnel get better, but might prevent it getting worse – look into Dragon Naturally Speaking dictation software – you speak at your computer and it does the typing for you – saves the wrists, right? Gotta be worth a trial! All the best lady! Dawn, Sussex UK x

    1. Me too!!! I could eat brunch allll day everyday. Hoping I don’t get CT either :( got my wrist brace on now… not cute!

  2. I am so particular about blouses/button ups- they NEED to be soft or else I hate that “boxy” stiff look. Checking out Rails now! And question — are the BF jeans true to size?? Might order them. Thanks!!

    1. Rails is the best & the best fit ever. As for the jeans- they stretch (sad about this!!!) so size down. Regardless, they are amazing.

  3. Aww… love this post! :) So cute! Minus carpal tunnel :( If you need me to ask my friends who are going into ortho about carpal tunnel tips let me know! (I’m the girl who commented on the productivity post who is in med school) Nerve entrapment is not something you want to mess with!

  4. Boo on carpal tunnel! I started showing signs too and contrast baths cleared it right up! Just take 2 buckets and fill one with ice water and one with hot water (you have to be able to have your hands in both so make sure its something you can stand, even if not to ally comfortable). Start with hot for 2 mins then cold for 1 min. Repeat 4-8 times. Your hands will tingle like crazy. I did it for a week and my issues completely went away and haven’t returned yet. So it’s super useful! I hope this helps!
