Foundation Skateboard’s Push Photography Show

This past weekend my boyfriend was in a really cool photography show, and so I do what I do best… I blog about it. I think “blog about it” is kind of my motto.

The event was put on by Foundation Skateboards and was called the “Push Photography Exhibit”. Basically it was based on a super old photo that was on the cover of the Skateboard mag of a guy pushing (if you’ve seen someone skateboard, this is when they push off one foot to get moving), everyone in the exhibit was to enter a piece of someone pushing. Hence the name of the exhibit.

Each photo was being sold for $200 bucks and the proceeds all went to Just One Board, a charity that recycles skateboards and re-distribute them to under privileged kids. Cool, right?

It was hosted at a sick little art gallery that I never even knew existed, plus they provided free beer/wine. Which is always a nice little bonus (I don’t like when people host events and don’t provide the booze, pet peeve). It was great to see all these talented skateboarders coming together for a good cause & the turnout was insane. You could barely move around towards the end of the night, which is when we left cause I got claustrophobic .

I must say, I was a pretty proud to see my man’s art in the show. It was a hit. Not surprised in the least, he’s so talented (check out his site here)!!!!
