Tips for Rocking White on White Like a Boss

Spring is in the air, & it’s been pretty dreamy over here in sunny San Diego (where Spring basically means Summer!). The only problem, you guys know me, I keep my wardrobe pretty dark… & when the sun came shining, I felt like I needed to lighten things up a bit.

I have two closets in my house, don’t judge this (they are both v. small), but one is an all black closet & the other one is where the color lives. I have been gravitating towards my color closet a lot more lately… only to turn away because things were getting pretty damn sparse over there.

SO- I did a little Spring cleaning, & then… a little Spring shopping at a forever go-to of mine, Urban Outfitters. I’ve been an Urban girl as long as I can remember, & when Spring rolls around, I am all about those boho cool vibes.

my go-to tips to help you pull of that all white vibe

1. play with proportions & textures: the only thing that should match when wearing all white is the shades of white, the rest- have fun with it. If you’re doing a mini skirt or skinny white jeans, pair it with an oversized top & vice versa. I went for an oversized paperbag pant w/ a super fun off the shoulder shirt.

2. sneakers or flats are always fun w/ an all white look: all white can give off some major fancy feels, so dress it down with some sneakers. I am super stoked on the Vans checkered revival, so I paired my all white look with some throwback checkered slides.

3. invest in some nude undergarments & nippies, because you never know with white.

4. bold accessories, because why not?: Think a bold choker, layered necklaces, or some fun door knocker type earrings (& always, huge ass sunnies).

5. get your tan on: nothing looks better with a crisp white outfit than a good tan… but you also don’t want to stain your all white get up so do it two days before you plan to wear all white & if you’re in a time bind… this tanning lotion is my jam!

6. hair & makeup feels: since you got a tan, you can keep the makeup pretty simple & the hair game pretty sleek.

7. keep clean & wrinkle free: have a tide pen with you AT ALL TIMES, & maybe some wrinkle release spray too. Clearly, I left my wrinkle release spray in my other purse for this shoot (oops!). Usually that stuff is ALWAYS with me.
