10 Travel Beauty/Hair/Skin Products for Your Next Vacation

Hiiii my friends. HAPPY MONDAY, & almost Christmas (although I am knee deep in the Hanukkah celebrations!).

So, update, I am missing Jamaica so much. It’s such a trip that just last week I was in a completely different land… & head space. That Jamaican mentality you guys, can’t be beat & I am trying to channel it everyday back home, but the loads of work & holiday stress is making it hard.

Whenever I get SUPER overwhelmed, I always say to myself… “you’re not brain surgeons or a lawyer, you’ve got this”.

That’s my tidbit of advice for y0ur Monday… & now for the good stuff. TRAVEL BEAUTY. I have never been like particularly proud of my travel beauty situation cause I used to just bring everything in fear of needing something & not having it, but this last trip I feel like I nailed it in the beauty department. I brought less, but had more than I needed because I brought super versatile products.

Check it out below & if you have any travel beauty product recs- comment below! x E

My 9 Beauty, Skincare, & hair travel essentials

1. BYBI babe balm:

This stuff was a life saver on the plane. It’s a multi-use balm that I use aggressively on my cuticles, but also can work as a cleanser/highlighter (super glowy!), all over moisturizer. It pretty much knocks out atleast three products, which is always appreciated in my over packed suitcase.

2. Sunday Riley auto correct eye cream:

I am blessed with genetic eye circles, but you probably know this since I bitch about it all.the.time. When on vacation, I like to let my skin breathe, which means I forgo the intense undereye coverage. Which makes it UBER important I use my eye cream to help keep the dark circles at bay & Sunday Riley’s new auto correct cream is a real game changer (it contains caffeine & ginseng!)

3. Tarte Cosmetics quench lip rescue:

Basically this stuff is the perfect combo of chapstick & lipstick. I have it in rose & I am obsessed!!! It’s the perfect daytime lip color while on vacation as it’s pigmented, but still super glossy & moisturizing. It’s as shiny as a gloss, minus any stickiness & really is the perfect nude lip.

4. Smashbox ‘be legendary’ matte lipstick:

Something about vacation & a bold lip just go hand in hand. I always bring one stand out lip color on vacation- for a tropical destination I am all about a matte SUPER BRIGHT reddish/orange color, but if I were going to a city- I’d opt for a vampier shade.

5. Kristin Ess “the one” shampoo & conditioner (travel edition):

I got these on a whim the night before my trip- the branding was cute, and they were already travel ready, so I figured I’d give them a try. Now, I am buying the full size shampoo & conditioner. A little goes a long way, it has some cool split end locking technology, & it smells SO good.

6. BYBI mega mist:

This spray is next level refreshing, & also contains hyaluronic acid to help plump up your skin. I use it when I wake up on vacation, before I apply my sunscreen. It definitely brightens things up, & at home I use it as a setting spray.

7. Tarte cosmetics arch architect:

A good brow goes a long way, especially when on vacay. A good brow requires less makeup, which will make your skin v. happy. I love this brow pencil because it glides on easy & has a handy little brow gel on the end. It’s way easier to manage than powder when out of town.

8. Dr. Roebuck’s lip balm:

My lips get so chapped on vacation & I love.this.lip.balm. I am kind of a chapstick hoarder, but this one is perfect before bed & on the plane (every 10 minutes). It’s clean, free of BPA/parabens, & contains essential oils (!!!) to help keep your lip hydrated & happy.

9. Tartelette ‘toasted’ eye shadow palette:

I am not usually an eyeshadow girl, but when on a vacation that involves water, I try to forgo mascara. Like I said- my dark circles are bad enough as is, the last thing I need is mascara running down my face.

SO, to make my eyes pop without mascara… I bring out the shadow. I like a shimmery eye on vacation, & this toasted palette is a dream. It’s the ultimate tan skinned warm tones vacay shadow palette… & I am not sure if it’s just me, but I am pretty sure the shadows are scented & smell like toasted marshmallows??? Also, I will sometimes use a clear mascara, if needed (no black run off!!)

10. Replenix anti-oxidant sunscreen:

Not pictured, but worth a mention because a. SUNSCREEN IS SO IMPORTANT, & b. this sunscreen is the jam. It contains caffeine & antioxidants, so it not only protects your skin from the sun, but the environment as well (while also helping improve your skintone!).
