This & That: Fashionlush in Copenhagen!

fashionlush, this & that, copenhagen travels

Oh hey pretties!!! I am stoked to say that I am officially in Copenhagen (raddest city I’ve ever been) writing this very post. Although we are loving life now… this trip started off less than ideal.

Honestly, as I relive the first few days of our travels, I keep having flashbacks of the Griswold family. It was that disastrous, but way less funny. First glitch in the system– we were 1 minute (not kidding, 60 seconds) past the 10 minute mark of making our first leg of the flight. The flight dude, who was literally the worst/rudest human ever, gave away our seats in a snap of the finger. He told us our only option was next day- which he was wrong about, cause my sister found a new flight for us in a few hours. Problem was, our luggage.

We were told different stories by different people re. our luggage. No one had a straight answer to give us. This meant that when we arrived in CPH we were luggage-less for 2 days, spent way more time than anyone two people should in a 48 hour time period, & lived in clothes given to us by the airline (not chic). I was stressed, but eventually the bags arrived.

Moral of the story: dear lord, please do not fly United. It was the worst of the worst (not to mention the international plane was straight up from the 80’s & so gross!!!).

Yet once we got our luggage, things flipped ASAP. It was finally time to explore & see this epic city. We started in Christiana aka The Green Light District aka Wonderland. It’s a tiny city within Copenhagen that is basically it’s own entity complete bomb Gyros, amazing lil’ kiosks all around, & a rule against photography to keep it charming and as tourist free as possible. I love.

Other noteworthy things we’ve scoped so far:

+ Strøget: a fun street by our hotel with shopping // cute bars // and cafes that sell things like “Rose Lemonade” (<— can’t wait to try tomorrow!)

+ Ravnsborggade in Nørrebro: another great shopping area with more of a focus on quality & bad ass vintage. You know I ate this one up maj.

+ Superkilen: This park was a park like no other, it was a serious walk, but in the end- so so so worth it. Pictures on this joint to come soon.

+ ACNE Archive: When it comes to fashion brands, ACNE has always been a fave. So, when I saw there was an ACNE Archive a few blocks from my hotel. I was on it it like white on rice. The clothes were out of this world & all samples so the prices were lovely compared to the norm!

The best part of all so far though? For sure our hotel, Hotel SP34. The modern design blows my mind, the service is on point, the view from our rooms is unreal, & the breakast…. OMG THE BREAKFAST. All organic, all you can eat, & everything is the “best ______ I’ve ever had”. No joke, I am actually dying to go to bed so that I am that much sooner to breaky.

For now, that’s all I’ve got as my eyelashes actually really feel like there are barbells pulling them shut. Nighty night + miss you all (p.s. it’s 12:30 am here!).

xx, E

[ Throwing it back w/ some black & white Adidas’ shell toes, which actually saved my feet from some seriously non-sensible shoes on a 7 mile walk across town, per usual.]

[ Pretty much everything in this city is GMO free & 100% organic, including our fave Danish bevvys: Sobogaard in Apple Mint & Raspberry. ]
