My 15 Minute Morning Beauty Routine

erica stolman morning beauty routine

Alright alright alright- I am NOT a YouTube beauty vlogger, not even could I call myself half of a beauty blogger. I can’t do your makeup for you cause I am no Desi Perkins (although, dream to have her do my makeup one day #QWEEN)… but I do have my morning beauty routine down pat & not to toot my own horn, but it’s pretty impressive/effective/amazing.

I am very inpatient when it comes to getting on with my day, so my routine is QUICK… 15 minutes on most mornings to be exact (as long as I have my privacy while getting ready, cause I get distracted WAY too easily).

Also, my would say my routine is best described as fresh faced. I don’t like a cakey look so my whole process involves a lot of MOISTURE (you’ll see), a damn good glow, shiny hair, tan legs, a stained lip, & GOOD coverage that you can barely even notice.

What’s your guys’ morning routines like? I would love to hear! I want to start incorporating a quick Headspace meditation on some mornings to help me harness my chi. That’s next on the list.

Read on for the FULL beauty breakdown! x, E

Wonjin Effect Baby Glow Cream

I don’t always wash my face in the morning because for me, it can be super drying. Instead I rinse with cold cold water to kinda wake me up/make my pores look smaller & then moisturize with my Wonjin Effect Baby Glow Cream.

It is SUPER lightweight, but makes your skin look so dewy. It’s components mimic that of our skins structure so it really penetrates into your skin. Also, fun fact, this product was developed by the largest plastic surgeon/derm office in Korea & is a cult favorite over there!

Vitamin C Hyaluronic Serum

Asterwood Naturals Matrixyl 3000 + Argireline peptide + Vitamin C Hyaluronic serum… I may not be able to pronounce it, but I really do love this stuff.

I like to use this serum in the morning because it really gives my skin a collagen boost & helps brighten up my complexion making me look more awake than I actually am. It also has definitely faded some of my acne scars & even a few fine lines that were pissing me off- it’s super effective & I highly reccomend it.

Bondi Sands Tanning Oil

I am kind of obsessed with having tan legs lately (and tan everywhere- but mainly legs). I don’t go in the sun because it just wrecks skin… but I am 100% addicted to my Bondi Sands. It’s so easy to apply, the color is fab, & there are zero streaking issues.

SO… while I wait for my serum/moisturizer to soak in I give my legs a tan (if I am showing leg… if not, I’d skip this step). I love the Bondi Sands ‘Liquid Gold’ Dry Tanning Oil, but if I am looking to get really dark I will use the Bondi Sands Tanning Foam (although this one takes a little longer!).

Smashbox Primerizer

The Smashbox Primerizer has been my go-to primer lately because it’s a double threat- like the name states, it’s a combo of primer & moisturizer. Total win win & could totally take out a step if you’re not crazy about moisture like I am.

I am a firm believer in Korean skincare & they are all about that moisture, also my latest facialist said my skin was parched like the Sahara & I had NO idea. I have definitely been loading up on the moisturizers, but my skin has never been more glowy so I am keeping it up.

PLUS, primer is everything. I didn’t know how important primer was until late, but it really makes a world of difference when applying makeup!

It Cosmetics CC cream

All about the double duty products (time saving hack), & if you’ve even browsed the blog, you know I am kinda obsessed with It Cosmetics ‘Your Skin But Better’ CC cream (also love their under eye concealer… which I may use during this step if my eyes are particularly dark).

It’s the creamiest, dewiest, & also works as my daily SPF. I typically apply with my hands on this one (potential beauty no no??). The coverage is light, but it definitely is a great base & takes away all of the skins redness/uneven tones.

Koh Gen Do

Next, I go in with a wet beauty blender & a little Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation to target more pesky areas such as my under eyes, around the nose, chin, and of course- blemishes.

I am so glad I finally pulled the trigger and listened to all of the beauty vloggers out there, cause even though this foundation is a little pricey, it is 100% the best foundation everrrr!

Benefit Hulu bronzer

If there is one thing I really can’t live without it’s my Benefit Hulu bronzer. It is a matte bronzer, goes on super smoothly, & the color is perfection- not too orange, not too ashy, just right.

I just do a swipe or two on my cheekbones, sides of my nose, & along the top of my forehead. It’s like a mini/on the go contour!

Beauty Tip: I learned from Kendall Jenner’s 2 minute morning routine (impressive!) to pinch your bronzer brush bristles together for a more pigmented dose of bronzer & to actually apply a sweep of bronzer to your lids for added warmth!

MAC Sheer Face Powder

To give my skin a smooth complexion & set my foundation, I finish off my face make up w/ a light dusting of MAC’s ‘Next to Nothing’ face powder in Medium.

I don’t like a thick/high coverage powder because it can often look super cakey, but this lightweight formula really just blends together my make up & give my face an airbrushed look.

Artist Couture Highlighter

The highlighter to end all highlighter- Artist Couture’s ‘Coco Bling’. I have talked about this product a million times over & swear to you guys- this HAS to be every actress/musician/blogger/reality tv star’s secret trick to that epic glow.

I apply it with a fan brush to my cheekbones, cupids bow, bridge of my nose, & a tinnnny bit on my forehead (Kim K. does it, so now I do too).

It’s almost always sold out, so make sure to sign up for the waitlist. That’s how I got mine!

Eyelash Curler + Mascara

I don’t wear eye make up often, sometimes a little shimmery white in the corners of my eyes, but other than that- I keep it bare.

I let the focus be my lashes- which I always curl with a warmed up eyelash curler (blast with blow dryer for a second or two) & then apply my L’Oréal Voluminous mascara/primer combo… again with the multitasking products! I love that it has a primer built in, cause without it I’d probably forget about it altogether & mascara primer is not to be forgotten– it literally makes your lashes look like extensions.

Brows on Fleek

Okay- so every three days I have been using, & loving, Wunderbrow. You basically brush it on your brows, clean up with a q-tip, brush through with a spoolie & you have THREE day brow coverage.

It’s pretty amazing, but if I am on day three and my brows get sparse I will fill in any spaces with Billion Dollar Brows ‘Triple Threat’ brow pencil. The pencil is triangular so it really helps you get the right angles, it’s also super pigmented & goes on so smooth. My favorite brow pencil for sure.

Korean Beauty Lip Stain

I am all about the K-Beauty red stained cherry lip right now, so just a few swipes of Etude House Water Tint in Cherry Ade & I am good to go (although I also really love the Saem lip stain sold at CVS in their brand spanking new K-Beauty department!)

Roses & Rosé Rosewater Spray

To set my make up & make everything really GLOW, I finish things off with a spritz or two (but keep it atleast 5 inches from your face) of Roses & Rosé Rosewater Spray.

It’s infused with coconut oil, rose, vitamin E, & geranium- so not only does it set make up, but it also helps to soothe skin, diminish redness, reduce inflammation, & moisturize!

Drybar Sparkling Soda

Lastly- MY HAIR. Such a mop of hair. Depends on the day, but if I have a few minutes to spare, i will straighten my hair.

Most days though, I rock the bed head & a spritz of Drybar Sparkling Soda (cutest name ever) gives my hair a nice bit of shine/helps to tame fly aways. It makes my hair presentable in it’s natural state & gets rid of frizz… which makes me a happy curly haired girl.
