All You Need for the Perfect Cozy Night In

Has anyone been to Disneyland lately? I went yesterday for the first time in 10+ years & lemme just say… it really is the happiest place on earth. You couldn’t be in a bad mood there if you tried (minus the fact they don’t sell adult bevvy’s, that made me a teeny bit sad).

As a kid it was all just magic, but as an adult, you really get to appreciate all of the detail that goes into the entire park. Pirates of the Caribbean for example… I meannnn talk about a mind blow!!!

I will say though, a day at Disney is exhausting. All the walking around, waiting in lines, mingling with princesses… I was asleep almost the second we got in the car to drive home.

So, to counteract yesterdays full day of activity, tonight I will be hosting a cozy night in.

What is a cozy night in you ask? Well, it’s basically my favorite thing EVER. Cozy nights in are all about one thing: being as relaxed and comfy as humanely possible.

Pull the duvet/pillows off your bed & bring ’em to the couch, take a longggg hot bath, bake chocolate chip cookies, sit by the fireplace (if you have one, sadly I don’t), light numerous yummy smelling candles, throw on your coziest socks & jammies, drink hot tea/chocolate/glass of red wine, & finish off the night by falling asleep to one of your fave flicks.

That, my friends, is what’s on my agenda tonight. Walk into my place & you will be entering snuggle city… population 3 (me, Zack, & the B). Want to host your own PERFECT cozy night in? Here’s what you’ll need:

under the canopy robe unicorn slippers lace trim slippers pia wallen cross blanket eat pastry cookie dough DVF The Woman I wanted to be philosophy christmad cookie J.R. Watkins Lavender Oil

+ Under the Canopy robe from Bed, Bath, & Beyond: it’s seriously, as my mom would say, “soft like butter”. I wear it over my jammies while lounging & it’s the first thing I put on when I roll out of bed in the AM. I studied textiles in collage, so I am also kinda geeking out over the fact it’s made from 100% GOTS fair trade certified cotton. That’s not easy to find when it comes to “organic” cotton.

+ Unicorn slippers: wearing them is literally like walking on marshmallows! I keep them right next to my bed for when I wake up, but more often than not Zack is already wearing them at the desk while checking emails & sipping coffee out of my leopard mug (no, I’m not kidding).

+ Lace trimmed marled socks: my two favorite sock trends (lace & marled) combined in one cute pair! They are the perfect to just lounge around the house in, but they also look reallll chic when worn with trainers or boots.

Pia Wallen Cross Throw Blanket: I first spotted the swiss cross blanket trend here & was immediately in love, but just couldn’t justify a $275 throw blanket. Now that Urban Outfitters has it for more than half of the price, it’s finally gonna be mine :).

+ Eat Pastry’s cookie dough: there is just nothing better than a warm, straight out-of-the-oven, gooey chocolate chip cookie. If you’re gluten free, you have GOT to get your hands on this cookie dough. It tastes just like Tollhouse & you don’t have to mess around w/ any tech recipes or rice flour ratios!

Wooly Beast Amber Candle: I am a sucker for a good smelling candle, & just recently picked up this amazingggg scented one. I got “Trust Fund Hippy” cause I loved the name & it smelled amazing, but they also have Mary Jane (hmm…) & Maple Bacon Donut scents as well.

The Woman I wanted to Be by Diane Von Furstenberg: DYING to read this book! I just placed my order, so once it gets here I will let you guys know what I think, but I hear it’s great!

+ Philosophy Christmas Cookie Shower Gel: This bath gel, that I use as bubble bath, changes the bath game big time. Just try it, trust me. (P.S. you’re S.O. will love that you smell like a cookie!!)

+ J.R. Watkins Lavender Body Oil Mist: When you’re out of the bath, spray this stuff all over your bod. It makes your skin sooo soft & also helps you get in total zen mode! I also like to spritz a bit on my pillows. Lavender = relaxation.

There you have it, all of my top coziest essentials! Now I GTG get wild & crazy (aka put on my pajamas & start the cookies!).

xx, E
