This & That | ‘Merica

fashionlush, this & that, summer swimwear 2015

Since I have implemented a (semi) no-internet weekend rule, these This & That posts have pretty much morphed into a #regram feature, sharing all my fave Insta/iPhone snaps of the weekend. Hope you guys don’t mind, but lugging around a huge ass camera just doesn’t vibe well with my new mellow wknd mode.

Typically, I like to go all out for Fourth of July, but this year we just decided to wing it. We slept in supeeerrr late, mosied our way to breakfast for some bloodies & Nutella stuffed toast (hey, it’s a holiday!), made our way to the pool (around 4pm, after all the party people passed the eff out– not about that craziness), sipped on sour lemon cocktails, and ended the night with gluten free pizza/a good movie/fresh Strawberry popsicles.

Moral of the story: plans are overrated. Yes?

In other news:

» Our Copenhagen trip is booked (17 days!!!!), & the anxiety has kicked in. If you guys have any tips for fearful travelers, please let a sister know! Also, has anyone flew Norwegian Air? I haven’t, & it’s kinda freaking me out (more than I already am). If so, how was your experience? CALM MY NERVES!

» Our AirBNB we booked in Sweden looks pretty effing dope, so that’s exciting.

» The US women’s soccer team did our country proud & took the World Cup w/ a bang… but you probably already knew that.

» 3D food printing blows my mind & sounds like a really bad idea. Anyone?!

» The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is almost here… so prep your wallets (will share my top picks later this week!).

» I listed a ton of new stuff in my Depop shop, including some hot never been worn bathing suits! If you don’t have the app, get it now in the app store & follow me @Fashionlush.

» I downloaded & have been listening to a whole bunch of great Podcasts lately: Entrepreneur on Fire, How They Blog, & Smart Passive Income. Thanks to my girl Brittany for some great recs!

» My college roomie & BFF is getting married this weekend and weddings are SO fun, so follow me on Snapchat (un: Fashionlush) for all the BTS festivities.

That’s all, I think. Happy Monday babes. x, E

  1. Norwegian Air is great! It’s easy and fast, but better than Easy Jet and Ryan Air. I’ve always had a really nice experience with them flying to Copenhagen :)

When you’re in Malmo, make sure you go to Pronto for the best cheesecake in Skåne! And also check out Ribersborg bath house just outside of the city :D

    Enjoy!

    1. Thank you so much Suz! I really appreciate it– I hear mixed reviews on Norwegian which was making me nervous :(. I will definitely check out those places in Malmo!! Thanks for the recommendations.

      1. No worries! I also get a bit nervous flying but I’ve been with them a few times when flying to Uni. Just make sure you have some music and a snack with you since there’s usually no in-flight food without purchase or entertainment. Last time before I flew I downloaded four books…I needed it!

One last tip, I don’t know how much you’ll be traveling by train through Sweden, but in the Skane county if you get a “JoJo” card (which I think you can get at CPH airport when you get OUT of baggage claim at one of the self service stands there, it comes pre-loaded with 200 kronor (the card costs 20sek) and then gives you a discount on all travel through Skane.

Or you can just by a “duo” ticket which also gives you a discount if you’re two traveling on one ticket.

        Lycka till!

        1. Great tip! Thank you so much Suz! I will definitely look into that JoJo card.

  2. Good luck on the flight b! You’ll be great. Nothing a little klonopin can’t help hehe

Thanks for the podcast recommendations! I love Tim Ferriss too for business type listens. They’re super long but I feel like I learn something. I’m going to listen to the blog one :)

    Have a good week! xox

  3. What month are you going to Copenhagen, have you ever been in November/December? We are looking into going but are worried it will be too cold!

    1. We are going in two weeks (ahhhh!!!!). I haven’t been in winter, but we always talk about how beautiful it’d be. I am sure it will be chilly, but still beautiful & fabulous. I highly suggest you get there, even if you have to rock a snowsuit ;).
