CHEERS TO THE FIRST MONDAY OF 2020!! Hope you all are already getting through your goals, making new ones, & leveling UP in the new year.
I thought it’d be fun to break down the most sold items I talked about this year… as well as a few of my personal faves that, if you don’t already own, you need to in the new year! When I find something good, I kind of obsess over it, & this list is all the items I pretty much obsessed over in 2019 & still loving in 2020. SO, without further adieu, let’s chat about these epic scores!
The Best Purchases of 2019 (according to me… & you guys!)
1. the world’s best phone mount
this is the best phone mount EVER. If you’re an influencer or even if have your toe in the Instagram pond- you need this phone mount. It sticks to almost any surface (works best on mirrors), has a long flexible arm, & a CLAMP so you don’t have to go buying new phone mounts when you upgrade your phone. I searched long & hard for the perfect phone mount, so yea- I this was a great purchase of mine. I use it for selfies, instagram stories, & now TIKTOK. So much TikTok going down with this bad boy.
2. brush cleaning mat
I have talked about this brush cleaning mat 100x in 2019, but ICYMI- it’s the best. I wash my makeup brushes on the reg (you should too) & the brush cleaning game was definitely elevated with this cleaning mat. It’s like a drive thru car wash for your makeup brushes… also- THIS is the best brush shampoo as well.
3. winged liner stamp
at some point in 2019, I made it my absolute goal to master the winged liner, but I couldn’t do it… so I started with some training wheels- aka the winged liner stamp. Stamp it on & in two seconds you’ve got the perfect winged liner, GENIUS!! I have now taken off my training wheels & upgraded to free-handing with this Revlon skinny liquid liner (which I also love), but I owe it all to the winged liner stamp!!!
4. pastel iPhone case
I LOVE THESE PHONE CASES & turn everyone onto them. Honestly- they are worthy of their own blog post. They are pastel, so cute, and look JUST like the Apple versions minus the $40 price tag. I have no upgraded my phone so here are cute versions for the iphone max & iphone max pro!
5. becca cosmetics undereye brightening corrector
I am the queen of the undereye circle (LOL) & this was the year that I *finally* found the most amazing undereye cover up of all time. It’s been a long search, but thanks to someone on Instagram- the search is happily over. If you’ve got circles, the Becca undereye brightening corrector will be your new bff.
6. doc marten jadon boots
not gonna lie- these took forever to break in, but now that they are fully broken in- I gotta say, most worthy boot purchase of the year. I LOVE THEM. They are just a great “staple” combat boot that will last you for ages & once you do break them in- they are just SO comfy!!!
7. agolde criss cross upsized jeans
I don’t always spend over $100 on jeans, but when I do, you know they’re good & these agolde criss cross jeans did not disappoint!!! They were the hot jean of the year & I am just SO obsessed with them. The fit, the criss cross detail, the quality- next pair of jeans on my list: the criss cross in dark wash!
8. brother handheld label maker
I love my label maker. I know, kinda nerdy, but organizing helps calm me the eff down & labeling took things to a whole new level… but make sure to get the pastel labels for full effect (trust me, it’s an aesthetic & this label maker has the cutest little symbols!).
9. revlon ultra HD matte lipstick in embrace
my personal lip color of 2019 & beyond- every time I wear this matte lip from revlon I get asked what it is & it’s just absolutely amazing. Creamy, matte, lasts for hours, & honestly the best shade for anyone/everyone!
10. verity by colleen hoover
if you like Gone Girl style books, Verity will rock your world. Adding it to the list cause it may very well be my fave book of 2019… but beware, it’s not for the faint of heart. This is a SERIOUS psychological drama.
11. acrylic lazy susan
I saw this originally on Sage’s instagram (from the So Sage blog) & she was using it for skincare, so I had to have one for my skincare & it has made my organizing dreams come true. This lazy susan + my label maker = a streamlined skincare dream.
12. west elm hera side table
I have made a lot of amazing home purchases this year, including the home itself, but I gotta say- this chic af side table is at the top of my list! I got it on sale (still is one sale) & it is just such a rad vibe. Art deco meets mid century modern & perfect for my home decor vibe.
13. lapcos sheet masks
I bought these on a fluke & it was the best happy accident ever!!! I am telling you, these are the world’s best sheet masks. Like put one on, rock it for 20 minutes, go to bed, & you will MARVEL at your skin. They are all amazing- but the pearl & honey are my top faves so far!
14. rectangle black sunnies ($13!!!)
The rectangle sunglass trend is still going strong & although I have had a ton of sunglasses come into my life this year, this $13 pair from Amazon was def. my most worn & most favorite. They are sturdy & just so cute!!
15. versed, everything…
honestly- everything from Versed was a hit for 2019. It’s one of my new fave skincare lines, but if I had to narrow it down: the Silk Slip Lip Oil, Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm, & The Fix Emergency Eye Mask have been game changers!
16. chella brow pencil
I have been struggling with finding the perfect solution for my brows for YEARS & honestly- when I bought this random brow pencil on Amazon, I didn’t expect it to be the answer to all my brow WOES… but it was & I’ve repurchased it 3x already. It lasts all day, the strokes are thin & hairlike, & the color is perfect (I get it in the shade taupe!).
