My *COMPLETE* Morning & Nighttime Skincare Routine for Glowing Acne Free Skin

When it comes to skincare, in the past, I have been all over the place. Trying something new daily, getting sold on good branding, not caring about ingredients, & then whining when my skin looked like, let’s be real, SHIT.

In the past 6 months, I’ve really changed things up. I have done TONS of research about pore clogging ingredients, cleaned out my skincare & beauty products, replaced them with only good stuff, & really reeled it in when it came to my routines. I made it a goal to myself to try out a very strict morning & nighttime routine.

I make sure to take the time each morning & each night to complete this routine in it’s entirety & since making this shift- my skin is FINALLY in a really good place. My acne is at bay, the acne scars are fading, my skin is GLOWY AF, & since I really did my due diligence in putting these strict routines together with lots of skincare research- I wanted to break down each & every step for you guys!!

01 // MY MORNING ROUTINE

♡ CLEANSE: I wash my face every morning with my SkinScript Green Tea Citrus Cleanser– I have been LOVING this cleanser for my hormonal acne (I got it from my facialist but found it online for you!).

♡ TONE: I like to do a spritz of my go-to Botnia’s all natural toner. A spritz in the morning is refreshing & this toner really helps clear up redness/inflammation & is super nourishing for the skin.

♡ SERUM: in the AM I like to use the Olehenriksen Truth Serum– it’s a vitamin C serum infused with collagen so it really brightens & plumps up my skin. I prefer using my vitamin C in the morning as it helps fight off free radicals throughout the day.

♡ EYE CREAM: for daytime eye cream I am ALL ABOUT Olehenriksen Banana Bright Eye Crème– it is such a moisturizing eye cream that absorbs so quickly & leaves my under-eyes looking PLUMP. It is also a great under-eye primer/color corrector all in one.

♡ MOISTURIZE: Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer is my go to morning moisturizer because it’s lightweight, gel like in texture, absorbs into the skin, & makes my skin GLOW (& it’s clean at Sephora so, no pore cloggers!).

♡ SPF: before I start with my makeup, apply sunscreen & this one by SPFrx is my favorite because it has hyaluronic acid AND protects against UVA, UVB, & HEV light which is the light from all of our electronic (more on that here).

 

02 // MY NIGHTTIME ROUTINE

♡ CLEANSE: again, I wash my face nightly with my SkinScript Green Tea Citrus Cleanser. With other cleansers I find myself having to wash my face TWICE to get every last drop of makeup off, but this one does the job in on try & leaves my skin squeaky clean, but not tight & dry if you know what I mean.

♡ TONE: I am a BIG fan of toners & at night I typically go for a cotton ball soaked in Mario Badescu’s Glycolic Acid toner (it shrinks my pores & really fades dark spots!) & will use that to get off every single last trace of dirt or makeup. I am psycho about this!

♡ SERUMS:  then I apply Peach & Lily’s Glass Skin Refining Serum to help fade some dark spots/acne scars. I am living for this serum, literally makes my skin look GLASSY AF!!! I also use Face Reality’s Mandelic Serum to keep my annoying hormonal acne at bay, but I believe you have to get this from a derm.

♡ MOISTURIZE: again, moisture is EVERYTHING. Dehydrated skin not only looks dull, but is more prone to breakouts cause your pores shrink up & bacteria gets trapped under the skin. My go-to nightly moisturizer right now is Skin Authority’s Ultra Rich Moisturizer– it’s has no pore cloggers, absorbs into the skin, & is SO moisturizing.

♡ UNDER-EYES: for my nighttime eyes, I am loving a swipe of the Peach & Lily Cold Brew Eye Recovery Stick. It’s cooling on the eye & is full of yummy ingredients like cucumber, kiwi, caffeine, green tea, berry complex, & turmeric which help to reduce puffiness, fade darkness/even skintone, moisturize, & fade lines. I AM INTO THIS STICK. It’s like a little cooling nighttime eye massage & it really works.

♡ OIL: then, to finish off my moisturizing routine, I seal everything in with Lueur’s AMAZING CBD facial oil. I can’t not say enough good things about this product- it’s pricey but SO SO SO SO WORTH IT. I have never used a better oil… & I’ve used A LOT of oil. CBD for skin is a magical thing.

♡ GUA SHA: I can’t say I do this every night, but I do do this MOST NIGHTS. I love a Gua Sha massage after I put all my product on to help everything absorb into the skin & just for a little facial contour/massage moment. My kinda self care!!

♡ A SPRITZ: lastly, a spritz of Evian spray! I am obsessed with Evian spray & run around the house spritzing it on me & Zack (he loves it too!).

 

02 // WEEKLY SKINCARE

♡ EXFOLIATE: once a week I like to do a manual exfoliation using Skin Authority’s Exfoliating Cleanser– it’s like the modern, less abrasive, way more natural/good for you version of the iconic St. Ive’s scrub you hate to admit you love.

♡ MASKS: I like to do a moisturizing sheet mask once a week (loving this Honey one by Lapcos right now) and/or I will do Peach & Lily’s Pore Proof Perfecting clay mask if my pores need a purge!

♡ SLEEP MASK: This one I do about 3x a week, but adding here to keep things more organized & really I do only use this if my skin is EXTRA DRY (which is every day lately)- it’s the Youth to the People’s Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask & it’s actually a DREAM. 10 out of 10 recommend this one for intense moisture that won’t make you break out (clean ingreds, obviously!).
