Not Your Basic Denim

Denim baby, we all love it, we all wear it, but sometimes… ya gotta upgrade it.

Personally, when it comes to my taste in jeans- if it doesn’t have rips, embroidery, patchwork, or some sorta flare… It’s just a little too simple for my liking. Just because it’s a staple, doesn’t mean it has to be basic. Staples can have style too. Am I right?!

For the visual learners– here are my top 5 fave ‘not your basic denim’ picks of the moment.

1. ruffle hems: really digging the ruffle kick flare rn! Shop mine here, but also lovingggg this pair.
2. side slits: love the whole side slit/baby bell vibe- check out these bad boys, current faves & look killer with an ankle boot
3. extreme frays: taking the raw hem to the next level, with an extremely frayed hem. love the dark wash of this pair!
4. embroidered: either with words or a design, embroidered jeans are back w/ a bang & personally- I am obsessing over these rose embroidered beauties!!
5. step hems: kinda like a mullet- business in the front, party in the back. Also, my fave jeans from Topshop (‘the jamie’) now come in a step hem style & I am ordering asap!
