Now that we are done with the floors in our house (post on this coming soon!), it’s time to finally decorate & I’ve been bookmarking things since we moved in! I am gonna do this kinda post for each room in the house, but I wanna start with my CLOSET/OFFICE ROOM.
This bedroom is gonna be all things girl & MY ROOM. We do have a walk in closet in the master, but I have given that to Zack cause this girl needs a closet room. I can’t wait for this room to come to life (closet will be installed tomorrow). The overall vibe is gonna be art deco, mid century, glam, nouveau feels & SUPER INSTAGRAMMABLE.
So, here’s what I’m eyeing:
1. pink landline phone
not like I’d actually plug this in (we don’t have phone jacks haha!), but I think this is cute for desk decor. Or just on a sidetable on top of a stack of chic magazines. Urban Outfitters is selling some pink landline phones, but this one on Amazon is way cuter IMO.
2. vanity table
I have ALWAYS wanted a makeup vanity & this closet/office room is gonna be all things girl so I need a vanity. The room has a built in closet that I won’t be using as a closet, so we took out the sliding doors & will make it a little enclave for my vanity. I love this little vanity, but I am also looking on OfferUp for ones as well! If I don’t find one there, this will be the one I get (I will probably add vanity lights too!)
3. color changing shell & pearl light
I am super into mid century/art deco vintage glam vibes & this pearl light is one that is actually a replica of something vintage I found on Pinterest… so I had to have it (& it’s only $25!!!). I am having a major moment with shell vibes rn.
4. Finnish Design Shop pink full length mirror
This pink mirror is SUCH A VIBE!!! It is also very art deco/danish minimalism which is exactly the look I am going for, plus it’s pink- which finding a pink mirror that isn’t for a teenager is actually quite difficult.
5. Gufram Pink Lady Couch
SO I am DEF not getting this stunning vintage couch because it’s a COOL $7,500 *crying*, but I absolutely love it & I am sharing it because if you can afford this bad boy, DO IT. In the meantime I will be over here searching high & low for a dupe of this bad boy. Or I will find another couch- still looking for that perfect piece!
6. Faux Fur Accent Chair
I am not quite sure yet if I will have room for a desk/couch/& vanity so I may forgo the desk to put a couch in the room & use the vanity as a desk as well. We will see, but regardless- I am eyeing this chair for either the vanity set up or the desk. It look so comfy. TBH- I may paint the gold parts black because I saw a chair that looks the EXACT same for 3k, only difference was it was black hardware which looked SO chic.
7. White bookshelf
Another item I am not sure I will have room for, but I am tempted to just buy these & use them somewhere/anywhere cause I love these bookshelves. They are simple, yet chic & would look great to have two of them side by side!!
8. Adaptations NY velvet shell pillow
THESE PILLOWS THOUGH!!! Ugh, I absolutely love them. If I end up doing a couch in this space, I feel like these pillows are gonna be a non negotiable. They are definitely a splurge item, but I think they are worth the splurge cause I have never seen anything like it & I love an original item!
