Buttoned Up

When it comes to style essentials, my top picks would easily be a good variety of skinny jeans (different washes, some ripped, some not ripped, etc.), black boots of all kinds (addicted), oversized sunglasses, & a handful of good button ups (or is button downs? I never know…).

I am a sucker for a good button up & they probably take up a good 75% of my selection of tops. Crisp white, silky, boyfriend style, vintage & printed- you name it… I hoard button ups.

Button ups are versatile, & I pretty much love anything you can rock in a number of different ways. You can wear a button up in a more professional setting for that “i’ve got my shit together” business-y vibe w/ skinny trousers + a blazer on top, or go for a mellow look & rock an oversized blouse w/ ripped up denim, a leather coat, & some slouchy moto boots.

Since I don’t find myself in an office setting all that much, I went for the more laid back look by pairing my slouchy silk lightening bolt blouse (I’ve probably owned this baby for 10+ years, but listed a bunch of similar styles below!) w/ some vintage Levi shorts, a wide belt (always), & my new fave tassel wedge boots (which are now on sale & so comfy!!). It’s an easy peasy look, & a great go-to when you’re having a style block/can’t find a single thing to wear.
